On 25 January 2013 Eden Fumagalli – Dede for all of us – passed away after a long illness.
Together, he and I, we founded easyvolley in 2008, to collect and continue the tradition of volleyball in Desio.
Soon a company was structured to make volleyball grow in Brianza, under the “easyvolley philosophy” shared in full by us two founders – and based on precise values: fairness, honesty in relationships, passion for sport, quality of technical work .
In these 5 years the results have been exceptional, both in the youth sector and in the achievement of promotion to B1 last season. The recent collaboration with GSC di Carate was a further step towards the growth of the “easy” world.
All this was done together with Dede and he will be missed.
Dede was a discreet man, whom I learned to love and respect knowing him over the years, for his generosity and fairness. These values are also very important for me and have allowed us – despite the different formations and personal history – to always find a point of agreement to make easyvolley grow and make it become a positive reality in the world of Brianza and Lombard volleyball.
But I would now like to remember Dede also for another sport that he practiced, loved and of which he was bronze medal in the Italian championships: kendo.
Kendo is a martial art that derives from the military practices of the Japanese samurai.
The Samurai is always looking for self-improvement, in the service of someone. He is a fighter, but good and generous; tries to carry out his duties to the fullest of his abilities, but with grace and elegance.
Dede was like this: courageous, capable, generous, correct, elegant. And I would like these values, which have united me to him, to continue to be the basis of the company that we will carry forward also in his name.
As we wrote at the beginning of the season, reality goes on, new energies are renewed, we must always look to the future.
In the memory of Dede, what has been achieved with him so far will continue with us, to grow and improve always!
